The Moon is Earth's nearest neighbour in space, its only natural satellite, and the only place other than Earth to be stepped on by human beings. It is the second brightest object in the sky after the Sun and is bigger than dwarf planet Pluto. Its Roman name is Luna and Greek name is Selene. One side of the Moon always faces Earth, so you never get to see "the dark side of the Moon".
